Allowing the world wide web's huge swathes of information to be accessed, just by typing a website address into the address bar, or of course using a search engine to find results. The right web browser can make a huge difference to your everyday browsing – whether your priority is faster performance, better security or more flexibility through downloadable extensions.
Since the dawn of the internet in the 1990s, a few tech leaders have come out in front for developing browsers that allow people to tap into the library of information available on the internet. However, it can be tricky to break out of your comfort zone. The browser you're currently using might not be the best, but you've probably become use to its idiosyncrasies over the years without realising there are better options around that will make your life so much easier.

The second most popular search engine is Microsoft’s Bing, securing a good hold in the online market. Search results on this alternative search engine are provided by Yahoo!Search, and its homepage has an ever-changing background displaying beautiful pictures of animals, places, sports, people, etc. For video search, it displays a grid of large thumbnails that offers a preview if you hover over them and plays it on the same page with a single click
Just like Google, Bing features ads and abilities such as conversion, translation, spell check, sports score, flight tracking, etc. Bing also has mobile apps on Android as well as iOS and stands as one of the best Google alternatives.

Yahoo is one the most popular email providers and holds the fourth place in search with 3.90% market share.
From October 2011 to October 2015, Yahoo search was powered exclusively by Bing. Since October 2015 Yahoo agreed with Google to provide search-related services and since then the results of Yahoo are powered both by Google and Bing. Yahoo is also the default search engine for Firefox browsers in the United States (since 2014).
Yahoo has been around longer than Google has, and a fraction of netizens still uses Yahoo! Search for their daily queries. Bagging the position of the third most popular search engine, it’s not too far behind Bing. Apart from looking up search results, this Google alternative search engine has so much to offer.
The web portal serves as a news aggregator, an email service, online shopping center, games center, travel directory, and much more. Yahoo supports around 38 languages and is even the default search engine for browsers like Mozilla Firefox. Rather than being a standalone search engine, Yahoo’s web portal offers a variety of services ranging from sports to travel that are worth checking out.
3. DuckDuckGo

Has a number of advantages over the other search engines. It has a clean interface, it does not track users, it is not fully loaded with ads and has a number of very nice features (only one page of results, you can search directly other web sites etc).
According to duckduckgo traffic stats (December 2018), duckduckgo is serving more than 30 million searches per day. DuckDuckGo has a clean interface and only one search page, making it easier to navigate than other search engines.
If you're uneasy about targeted ads or don't want your search data stored, you might want to try DuckDuckGo, which touts itself as "The search engine that doesn't track you". It doesn't track, collect, or store any information, so you're safe to search for shoes without feeling bombarded by subsequent Macy's Shoes ads. It's worth noting there are still ads on DuckDuckGo -- just not personalized ones.

Baidu was founded in 2000 and it is the most popular search engine in China. Its market share is increasing steadily and according to Wikipedia, Baidu is serving billion of search queries per month. It is currently ranked at position 4, in the Alexa Rankings.
Baidu is China's largest search engine, capturing over 75% of China's search market. The search engine looks similar to Google (besides being in Mandarin), with a white background, blue links, and green URLs.
If you have an interest in appealing to the Asian market, Baidu is a good option to consider. However, the search engine censors certain images and blocks pro-democracy websites, so if you're comparing search results, you'll find a more comprehensive results list on Google.
5. Ask.com

Formerly known as Ask Jeeves, Ask.com receives approximately 0.42% of the search share. ASK is based on a question/answer format where most questions are answered by other users or are in the form of polls.
It also has the general search functionality but the results returned lack quality compared to Google or even Bing and Yahoo.
Ask.com is certainly a more modest option compared to the likes of Bing and Yahoo!. Nonetheless, Ask.com, formerly Ask Jeeves, is unique due to its question and answer format. While most of Ask.com's sponsored search results are powered by Google, Ask has an original algorithm that favors expertise on a topic over popularity. Additionally, Ask.com provides some unique features, like "smart answers", which use natural language to answer someone's search query
